Brand New CHI 4250 Garage Door Install in Panama City.

Most of our garage door installations are done on garages attached to homes. We were contacted by this customer for a special order door that was going to be installed into a freestanding metal building. Just like any install, there are variables that can make the install anything but routine. This was definitely one of those jobs. When we met with the customer initially, we were told the building was made of red iron. So we had a plan in place for what that would entail, such as what the hardware would be mounted to because most residential is mounted to wood and sheetrock. When installing into a metal building, that changes.

This CHI Model 4250 is a larger door being a 16×8. This is one of our most popular doors because of the many choices you have for color, glass, and inserts. This customer chose to go with a white, long panel door with sunburst glass inserts. This door is non insulated with a 154 MPH wind load rating. On our pre install visit to the jobsite, we discovered the the building construction was not red iron so we had to make adjustments. The framing had been installed in a way that made things more difficult than anticipated. But, like always, we want to give our customers’ the best possible service and solutions for their garage door needs. We worked with our customer and Keith was able to install the door while keeping with the local codes and making the doors’ safety and reliability a priority.

The door looks great in contrast to the color of this freestanding garage/ workshop and our customer was pleased to have it completed.
