Rare Dual Broken Spring Replacement in Panama City Beach.
Broken spring calls are an every day occurrence for us here in the Panhandle. The weather, salt and sand erosion, and the heat and humidity can all affect garage door spring life. Typically, a garage door spring's lifespan is around 10,000 cycles, or 7 to 10 years with regular use. A cycle is defined as the door opening and closing once. Many of us use our garage doors as the main entry and exit to our home and when a spring breaks, that is a major issue for us. In most cases when a system has two springs, only one breaks.
But today's call was a bit unusual, when I arrived both springs were broken. When both torsion springs on a garage door break at the same time, it's usually a sign that both springs were nearing the end of their lifespan and were significantly worn out. But because of of the wear on a spring in its lifecycle, we as garage door techs know that you always replace both springs because its just a matter of time before the second spring goes. It may seem unnecessary to some customers, but in reality, we are saving the customer the cost of an additional service call and the issues that not being able to use your garage door can cause.
As a Garage Door professional who repairs brokens springs almost daily, I carry most spring sizes on my service truck and was able to get this customer's door up and running again quickly.
All About Garage Doors Inc is dedicated to providing continued excellent service, repair and replacements for all your garage door needs at the fairest prices.
