How long a garage door spring will last is based on use cycles. Every time the door goes up and then comes back down that’s one cycle. Most of us use our garage doors 3-5 times a day or 1500 times a year. That’s a lot of use cycles!
If the garage door springs have been correctly balanced with the door, you will get about 10,000 cycles. Based on average garage door use that comes to about 7-10 years that springs will last.
